How can I change my Qonto account password?

Has access to the account and wants to change the password

On a computer:

  1. Go to the Settings tab from the account

  2. Click the Personal settings section > Security on the left, then click Change password to reset the password

  3. Finally, enter the current password to create a new one

     

On the phone:

  1. Go to Menu in the top right corner of the screen ⚙️, and click Settings > Security.

  2. Select Change password.

  3. Enter the current password and set a new one.

 

☝️ Good to know: If signed in with Google / Apple and there is no password on the account, there is no need to set one, since Google and Apple are secure. You’ll see that the change password button is disabled.

 

Forgot the password and can no longer access the account

Don’t worry, it happens! To reset the password, perform the following actions:

 

On a computer

  • Go to the login page and click Forgot your password?

  • Enter the email address

  • Open the email and click Change my password

  • Enter the new password

  • If Strong Authentication is enabled on the account, a confirmation request will be sent to the linked phone.

  • If strong authentication has not been set up yet, enter the confirmation code received on the phone number

  • The password has been changed 🎉

In the mobile app

  • Go to the login screen and click Don’t remember?

  • Enter the email address

  • Open the email and click Change my password

  • Enter the new password

  • If Strong Authentication is set up and the password change is done from the paired phone, the password is changed 🎉

  • If strong authentication is set up, open the email directly on the phone to be paired to confirm the change

  • If strong authentication has not been set up yet, enter the confirmation code received on the phone number

 

Some security tips

To improve the security of the account, we recommend:

  • Sign in with Google / Apple (Sign in with Apple is only available on iOS 13 or later).

  • Change the password frequently

  • Choose a strong, unique password for each of your online accounts. Avoid using birth dates, your pet’s name, or simple numeric sequences like “12345…” or “0000…”. 💡 Tip: use long passphrases.
