I have a company - what are the steps to register?

Want to create a Qonto account for your business?

 

To save time, you can prepare the following documents:

📄 Your company’s name or Tax Identification Number (NIF)

đź‘Ą Your ID document (Citizen Card, passport, or residence permit)

 

We recommend registering using a smartphone (if using a computer, keep your smartphone handy).

đź’ˇ The Google Chrome browser is 100% compatible with Qonto.

 

Let’s do this ⬇️

Go to Qonto.pt and click the “Open an account” button that appears in the top-right corner of the screen

First step:

Select your legal form — Private Limited Company (Lda), Self-employed Worker, or Sole Proprietor;
 

Second step:

If you selected a Private Limited Company (Lda) — Select the size of your business based on the number of employees in your company, then enter your email to start creating your Qonto account.

If you selected the legal form Self-employed Worker or Sole Proprietor — Enter your email to start creating your Qonto account;
 

Third and fourth steps:

  1. Go to your email inbox to retrieve the confirmation code, then enter it in the corresponding field;

    ❗️ The confirmation code is only valid for 30 minutes.

  2. Enter your company details (legal name, legal form, registration date, and NIF), provide the company’s tax address, and then an estimate of your business’s financial data;
    ​
    â–Ş If you are registering as a Self-employed Worker, we recommend uploading your Declaration of Start/Restart of Activity or Activity Certificate. This way, your account will be activated even faster.

  3. Tell us who you are and indicate whether:

    • you are the company’s legal representative or not,

    • you pay taxes in the United States, or

    • you are tax resident in a country other than Portugal.

  4. Enter your phone number;

  5. Enter your personal address;

  6. If you are not the legal representative, provide the representative’s details and their ID document.

  7. Indicate whether you are one of the company’s ultimate beneficial owners.

  8. Indicate what you will use your Qonto account for.

Fifth step:

Choose the offer that best suits your needs;

 

Sixth step:

Accept the terms and conditions of the contract;

 

Seventh step:

Choose the card that best fits your needs and start using your account.

 

Eighth step:

Complete your identity verification.

  • To ensure your application is accepted, make sure you complete these steps in a well-lit area and follow the instructions. It’s also important that you are alone during the video step.
