My account is not validated and my access is restricted, what should I do?

Why is your account restricted?

If your account’s functionality is restricted, there may be several reasons, and these were likely communicated to you by email. Therefore, we first suggest you check your email inbox.

  • We need to verify your identity once again.

For us to verify your identity, it is essential that you have an identity document accepted by Qonto in color.

Complete the registration process through the app; the use of a smartphone is mandatory to complete it. At this stage, you will find the following 3 mandatory requirements:

  • Take photos of your ID document. 💡 Make sure your ID document is not damaged and that all information is legible.

    ❗️ For Citizen Cards (CCs) and residence permits, images of both the front and back are required.

    For passports, the top and bottom pages are required.

  • Video selfie 💡 To be admissible, turn your head from right to left or vice versa. It’s also very important that you appear alone.

  • Share your geolocation.

    ❗️ If you need to add partners or another member of your team to your registration process, you can do it yourself by uploading the documents directly from your smartphone or computer.

    Tips — to ensure the document is admissible, we suggest you:

    • Take a photo of the ID document directly with your cell phone 📱;

    • Do not use the flash to avoid glare;

    • Make sure all four corners of the document are clearly visible, as well as all the information.

    • If you uploaded your passport as your ID document, the first two pages of the passport must be visible in the photo.

    • If you are registering as self‑employed, we recommend uploading your Declaration of Start/Restart of Activity or Activity Certificate. This way, your account will be activated even faster.

  • We need to verify your identity with a selfie.

    • You are not a proxy, ultimate beneficial owner, or company representative, and we need to perform a change of ownership.

      To do this, we will need to officially invite the ultimate beneficial owner to the account via an official invitation that will be sent to their email and must be properly filled out and declared. In addition, you will need to send us a selfie of the holder/representative, and photos of their ID document, front and back.

      💡 For the selfie photo to be accepted, it is very important that you follow the instructions sent by email. If all elements do not appear in the photo, we will not be able to activate your account and the functionality will remain blocked.

  • We need a power of attorney.

    • You are not the account holder or the company representative, so you will need to send us a power of attorney authorizing you to open, close, and manage bank accounts on behalf of the company.

  • We need information about your business activity.

    • If your company’s activity corresponds to one of the following NACE codes: 6420; 7022; 6419; 6421; 6422; 6431; 6432; 6491; 6492; 6499; 6511; 6512; 6520; 6530; 6611; 6612; 6619; 6622; 6629; 6630, we will need you to provide more details.

Once we receive all the documentation, we will activate your account as quickly as possible, and you will be able to use all its features. 🎉
