Who do I need to identify and what information is required?

For SMEs (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises)

To comply with regulations, you must identify and provide information about:

1. Key People to Identify

  • Beneficial Owners (UBOs): Any person who owns more than 25% of the company or exercises effective control.
  • Shareholders: Any person who holds 5% or more of the company's shares
  • Authorized account operators: People with authority to manage the company's accounts.
  • Elected representatives or directors: Individuals who officially represent or manage the company.

2. Required Information for Each Person

  • Full name
  • Identification number (with a copy of the document)
  • Tax identification number
  • Place of birth
  • Date of birth
  • Nationality
  • Country of residence
  • Role or percentage of ownership in the company

For complex ownership structures: You must show the full ownership chain leading to the individuals who control the company.

If none apply: If a category doesn't apply, simply indicate "None."

For Self-Employed Individuals and Sole Proprietors

1. Who to Identify

  • Authorized persons: Any person who has authority to operate your account or control your business on your behalf.

2. Required Information

  • Full name
  • Identification number
  • Date of birth
  • Nationality
  • Country of residence
