Below you will find a table summarizing the documents required to open an account with us, who the beneficial owners are and who we have to register based on the different legal forms:

Trabalhador Independente

(Autonomous worker)

👉 Declaração de Início / Reinício de Atividade

  1. If it is the physical version of the document, it must be duly signed and stamped;
  2. If it is a digital version of the document, it must contain the Verification Code.

*️⃣ If the person opening the Qonto account is not the one indicated on the Permanent Certificate (Certidão Permanente), you must present a power of attorney.

 

How do I check if my Certidão Permanente is valid?

To check the validity of the document, you can open it and check the date on the last page, or, you can enter the access code on The Portuguese public services portal.

 

What should I do if the Certidão Permanente has expired?

You can buy a new document online, directly from The Portuguese public services portal. Just follow the instructions there.
